A two week course
Do you want to learn more about the world’s first
global trade union formed by Unite and the USW?
This course covers important themes around globalisation and
industrial relations in multi-national organisations. During this
leadership course you will have a unique opportunity to learn with
trade union colleagues from the USA, UK, Ireland and
Canada.

- Week 2: Dates to be arranged in 2011 in North
America
This prestigious course is open to experienced Unite
representatives. Ten course places are available to
Unite and 10 course places are available to USW
representatives.
The course will cover the following key topics:
- The framework of the Workers Uniting global union
- The impact of globalisation
- What companies do: the corporate and global agenda
- The development of political and social structures in the UK
and North America
- Current labour and industrial relations issues in the UK and
North America
- Developing leadership skills
- Leading change in organisations
