Workers Uniting has identifed that Unite and USW members work in almost all the same industries and have over 200 common employers.

1. Automotive

   USW and Unite common employers in the transport sector include Dana, Federal Mogul, Goodrich, Johnson Controls and others.

2. Cement

   USW and Unite common employers in the cement industry include Cemex, Heidelberg and Lafarge. Workers Uniting collaboration at some of these common employers is underway.

3. Chemical

   Unite and USW common employers in the chemical industry include Akzo Nobel, Dow Chemical, DuPont, Rhodia and others. Workers Uniting collaboration at some of these common employers is underway.

4. Container

   USW and Unite common employers in the container industry include Ball, Crown, Nestle, O-I and Rexam.

5. Education

   Unite and USW members work for universities in the UK and Canada.

6. Electric & Gas

   USW and Unite both have large memberships at UK-based National Grid.

7. Forestry

   Members of both Unite and USW work in the forestry sector. Workers Uniting collaboration around common issues for workers in North America and the UK in this sector is underway.
