What We're Doing

Workers Uniting is fostering joint-work by our unions' health and safety staff and activists. The aim is to learn from one another in order to create safer workplaces.

  1. Education and Exchanges

    Workers Uniting has held an annual leadership course for member activists since 2010. Workers Uniting also organizes regular exchanges of lay members and staff.

  2. Activism and Campaigns

  3. Fighting for Equality

    Workers Uniting is building links between equalities activists and structures in our two unions. The aim is to further develop and globalize our equalities structures in order to empower all of our members.

  4. Building Employer/Sector Links

    Workers Uniting has identifed that Unite and USW members work in almost all the same industries and have over 200 common employers.

  5. Health and Safety Initiatives

    Workers Uniting is fostering joint work between our unions' health and safety activists and staff. The aim is to promote safer workplaces in Canada, Ireland, the UK and the U.S.
