Workers Gather for Caterpillar Global Network

Workers, union representatives and union leadership from Caterpillar workplaces around the world met for the third annual Caterpillar Global Network meeting in May in the UK to provide updates on their workplaces, discuss shared goals and build global solidarity. The meeting was organized by IndustriALL, a global union federation that both Unite and USW are affiliated to.

More than 4,000 Unite the Union members and 1,200 members of the United Steelworkers (USW) are employed by Caterpillar.

This year, Ross Winklbauer attended the meeting as a representative of the USW and proposed that a letter from all the attendees be sent to the company’s CEO detailing the networks commitment to working together toward shared goals and building solidarity. Click here to read the letter.
